Nuclear Phosphoinositides as Key Determinants of Nuclear Functions

چکیده
Polyphosphoinositides (PPIns) are signalling messengers representing less than five per cent of the total phospholipid concentration within cell. Despite their low concentration, these lipids critical regulators various cellular processes, including cell cycle, differentiation, gene transcription, apoptosis and motility. PPIns generated by phosphorylation inositol head group phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns). Different pools found at distinct subcellular compartments, which regulated an array kinases, phosphatases phospholipases. Six seven species have been in nucleus, nuclear envelope, nucleoplasm nucleolus. The identification characterisation interactor effector proteins nucleus led to increasing interest role signalling. However, regulation functions complex still being elucidated. This review summarises our current understanding localisation, biogenesis physiological different nucleus.

A Role for Phosphoinositides in Regulating Plant Nuclear Functions
Nuclear localized inositol phospholipids and inositol phosphates are important for regulating many essential processes in animal and yeast cells such as DNA replication, recombination, RNA processing, mRNA export and cell cycle progression. An overview of the current literature indicates the presence of a plant nuclear phosphoinositide (PI) pathway. Inositol phospholipids, inositol phosphates, ...
متن کاملPhosphoinositides as Key Regulators of Synaptic Function
Phosphoinositides have recently emerged as key regulators of a variety of synaptic processes, including neurosecretory vesicle targeting, exo-endocytosis, and ion channel modulation. These pleiotropic activities derive from their ability to serve either as membrane targeting sites for cytosolic factors, as allosteric ligands, or as nucleation points for coat proteins and cytoskeletal elements. ...
متن کاملModification of protein sub-nuclear localization by synthetic phosphoinositides: evidence for nuclear phosphoinositide signaling mechanisms.
PtdInsPs are critical signaling molecules that regulate diverse cellular functions. One method to study PtdInsP biology involves using synthetic PtdInsP analogs to activate endogenous PtdInsP-mediated events in living cells. Such methodology has been successfully employed to explore the role of several PtdInsP-biological outcomes in the cytoplasm. However, this strategy has not previously been ...

Background: The earlier Atomic Bomb explosion in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and three worth mentioning nuclear accidents - detonation at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, Chernobyl nuclear fallout and an accident at Three Mile Island nuclear power plant have made us more worried about the secure exploitation of nuclear energy. The central focus of this paper is to review radiation-mediated health e...
متن کاملNuclear functions of actin.
Actin participates in several essential processes in the cell nucleus. Even though the presence of actin in the nucleus was proposed more than 30 years ago, nuclear processes that require actin have been only recently identified. Actin is part of chromatin remodeling complexes; it is associated with the transcription machineries; it becomes incorporated into newly synthesized ribonucleoproteins...
